Vintage takedown lever action tip open single shot. It has a cheek piece and several coats of worn brown paint. Very good smooth hardwood stock looks like it was cut at the fore- end. Balance of the metal is dark brown with scattered old rust.

Gun might have been altered because the ramrod is held with brass thimbles crudely soldered to the barrel. Obviously incorrect steel ramrod might be a bit shorter than necessary. No identifying marks anywhere on this antique muzzle loading original flintlock “buck & ball” long rifle. Original “owl’s head” logo butt plate is chipped. Good/very good matching pistol grip stock has a faint upper tang crack and was also re- varnished. Very good re- varnished smooth walnut forearm has lots of old scratches. Faint traces of case color on the receiver which is mostly a worn gray/brown, with old rust residue.
